HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Coming off a pair of wins on the weekend against Cleveland State, the Norse took on Wright State on Tuesday night, looking to build on a 2-0 start to conference play. The Norse took down the Raiders in a five-set thriller, putting them in the top position of the Horizon League.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– The Norse came out slow to start, dropping the first set 25-18, but bounced back in a close set two, winning 25-23. Wright State took an extended set three, 27-25, but NKU came back again to take the final two sets, including a 15-10 set five that saw NKU end the match on a 13-4 run. 
– Ava Hoying racked up 22 kills in the match, marking the first time any Norse has eclipsed 20 in a match in the 2025 season. Hoying finished with an attacking line of 22-3-54, hitting .352 on the night. She also added nine digs and four total blocks.
– Ivey Stocks racked up 14 kills on a .355 hitting percentage, tallying four total blocks. 
– Allison Risley totaled 12 kills with nine digs. 
– Abby Pickard racked up 47 assists, eight digs, and three aces. 
– Kendall Hopewell was unstoppable on the front line defensively, racking up nine total blocks, the second-highest mark of any Norse player this season. 
– Lucy Cluxton and Sydney Bray led the Norse in kills with 20 and 17, respectively. Bray also had six total blocks.
