ATHENS, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse Women's Soccer traveled to Ohio University on Thursday, taking on the Ohio Bobcats in a midweek matchup. The Norse, who came into the game undefeated at 3-0-2, looked to improve their record as they netted an early goal courtesy of Erykah Cornett. A late Bobcat goal leveled the score at 1-1, where it remained for the rest of the match.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– NKU's Erykah Cornett scored a lead-taking goal in the 17th minute, putting the ball in the back of the net off a deflected pass from Meghan Belrose, who notched her first assist of the season. Cornett's goal was her third of the season, tied for second-best on the Norse.
– Despite leading at the half, the Bobcats led in both the shot and corner battle. 
– In the second half, the Norse continued to play great defensive ball, as Megan Gessner totaled seven saves in the match. 
– A 70th-minute goal from Ohio tied the match at one. NKU played solid defense down the stretch to earn the point.

Northern Kentucky continues its stretch of road games when they take on Cincinnati on Sunday night. The match is set to kick off from Gettler Stadium at 6 PM.
