Women’s Soccer Extends Unbeaten Streak to Seven at Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse Women's Soccer took on Cincinnati for the sixth time in program history on Sunday night, with the Bearcats winning the previous five matchups. The Norse grabbed courtesy of Megan Molner in the first half, but Cincinnati drew level in the 69th minute. The Norse were able to hold on to record their first draw against the Bearcats in program history.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Megan Molner netted her fifth goal of the season in the 31st minute, scoring a rocket from way outside the box. 

– Cincinnati equalized in the 69th minute, despite some great defense from the Norse throughout the match. 
– Northern Kentucky was able to hold on for the draw, thanks to some great stops by the whole squad, including key plays from Alyssa Carnes and Sophia Kapszukiewicz. 
– Norse keeper Megan Gessner made a remarkable effort, tallying six saves in the match.
– Cincinnati won the shot battle 22-6 (7-4 on goal), and the corner battle 14-4.
