YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball took its three-game win streak on the road on Sunday, taking on the Penguins of Youngstown State. An ice-cold start proved too much for the Norse to overcome, as Northern Kentucky never led in the contest and scored just 15 first-half points.

– Northern Kentucky shot 29.4% from the field, 25.8% from three, and 10-18 from the free throw line, including just 20% from the floor in the first half. They allowed the Penguins to shoot 42.0% from the field, 25% from three, and 17-26 from the line, and 0-7 from three in the second period.
– Both teams committed a lot of turnovers, with each squad ending up with 18 total. YSU took advantage of the reckless play, scoring 21 points off turnovers while the Norse had just 15.
– NKU won the rebound battle, 43-40, including 19-8 on the offensive glass. The Norse tallied 18 second-chance points in the game.

Donovan Oday led NKU with 18 points, but put up 23 shots, including 15 three-point attempts to do so.

Kael Robinson was the only other Norse in double figures with 13, but he also struggled mightily from the field, shooting 3-15 on the day. Robinson also grabbed seven rebounds.

Tae Dozier had eight points and a game-high 11 rebounds, going 3-5 from the field.
