HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's basketball wrapped up the regular season on Saturday afternoon, taking on Detroit Mercy at Calihan Hall. The Norse and Titans went back and forth in a close one, but rebounding mistakes late doomed Northern Kentucky as they fell by a single point.

- Northern Kentucky shot 43.8% from the field and 22.2% from three, going 9-12 from the charity stripe. Detroit shot just 37.9% from the field, but shot a lights-out 8-18 from beyond the arc, including 3-6 in the final period. The Titans went just 12-20 at the line.
- The Norse committed 18 turnovers in the loss, its most in a single game since January 2, marking the first time the Norse had committed 15 or more in a game since that date. They forced 11 Titan turnovers and were outscored in points off turnovers 21-9.
- NKU won the rebound battle, 44-38, but failed to secure a rebound on two vital late possessions, including after a missed free throw with 16 seconds left while down by just one point.

Karina Bystry led the Norse with 21 points, finishing 7-12 from the field and 3-5 from three. She also had six rebounds and a steal.

Mya Meredith went for 17 points and seven rebounds, finishing 7-13 from the field. She also dished out a team-high four assists.

Maddie Moody scored eight points and grabbed three rebounds.

Kamora Morgan scored seven points and grabbed six rebounds.

Abby Wolterman finished with a team-high nine rebounds and scored six points.
