NKU to break ground on new tennis complex

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.—Northern Kentucky University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the NKU Tennis Complex on Tuesday, Feb. 10.

What: NKU Tennis Complex Groundbreaking

When: Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026, 12:15 p.m.

Where: NKU Lot G, next to the Frank Ignatius Grein Softball Field

Once completed, the NKU Tennis Complex will feature six new tennis courts and serve as the home of NKU's tennis programs. The new-and-improved complex will enhance the Norse student-athlete experience and support the growth of the university's tennis program while also providing recreational opportunities for students and the surrounding community.

The groundbreaking ceremony is open to the public and will include remarks from President Cady Short-Thompson, Vice President and Director of Athletics Christina Roybal, NKU head men's and women's tennis coach Brian Nester, and a student-athlete representative from the tennis programs.
