VERO BEACH, Fla. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's golf opened up spring competition on Wednesday, taking on Bucknell in match play. The Norse fell 5.5-1.5 in the match, as
Gianna White was the only Norse to pick up a match victory.
Conlee Lindsey tied her opponent in the first match, as she came back from being down by as much as three on hole ten and two on hole 16. In match two,
Lilly Baumann fell by two strokes and never led.
Gianna White won match three on the final hole, as she trailed for the first seven holes, but then took a lead that she held from hole 9-11. Her opponent took a lead on hole 14 before White tied it up, and outscored her opponent 3-4 on the final hole to take the match win.
Ella Hardy dropped her match by seven, as did
Ryliann Bednar.
Kenna Jenkinson fell by four points in match six, while
Eva Maley dropped hers by five in match seven.
