HIGHLAND HEIGHTS – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's tennis duo
Joao Pimenta and Mateus Ranciaro dropped a couple of spots in the most recent edition of the ITA rankings, as they now sit at #42 in the country after dropping a match last week.
On the season, the pair sits at 8-1 overall, with all matches played coming in first doubles. Since the last edition of the rankings was revealed on March 17, Pimenta & Ranciaro have gone 3-1 in first doubles, dropping a game to now #62 Carl Gedlitshka and Lincoln Battle, 6-2, but the Brazilian duo bounced back for a 7-6 (5) doubles victory over Youngstown State's Matteo Ceradelli and Domink Vonbank. They then took a close victory over Centre duo Dylan Dethridge and Ty Bush 7-6 (4) before moving to 2-1 in Horizon League play with a 6-2 victory over IU Indy's Konner Gunwall and Brandon Pham.
Ranicaro, Pimenta, and the Norse are back in action on April 4, hosting IU Indy at 6:30 PM.
