CLEVELAND, Ohio – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's tennis took on Cleveland State on Saturday morning, battling the Vikings in a Horizon League clash. The Norse fell 6-1 in the match, hurting hopes of a berth in the Horizon League Championship.
NKU dropped the doubles battle as the #41 pair of Mateus Ranciaro and
Joao Pimenta fell 6-1 in first doubles, and
Jackson Poulos and
Emilio Bravo dropped theirs 6-2 in second doubles.
In singles play, Pimenta was the only Norse to win a singles match, coming back and winning 1-6, 6-1, 1(3) in second singles. Bravo was the only Norse to win a set, winning his first 6-3 before dropping the next two.
