NKU Men’s Basketball adds Gabrielius Jokubauskas

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball signed Lithuanian guard Gabrielius Jokubauskas on Friday.

"We focused on size, ball skills, and versatility on the perimeter, and Gabriellus definitely fits that," said Norse head coach Darrin Horn. "He has excellent positional size and skill level. His shooting, athleticism, and experience should help him make an immediate impact."

Jokubauskas has spent the past three seasons with Rytas Vilnius' second team, competing in the National Basketball League, the second tier of Lithuanian professional basketball. He averaged 9.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, and 1.1 steals with the club in 34 games in 2025-26, putting up 16 games with double-digit points and three with 20 or more. The 19-year-old shot 45.1% from the field, 31.6% from three on 3.4 attempts per game, and 69.0% from the free throw line last season. In 2024-25 with Rytas, he averaged 9.3 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 40 games. Over three years with the club, he put up 722 points, 327 rebounds, and 154 assists. In his last game on March 14, he put up season-highs of 27 points and nine rebounds while shooting 5-11 from beyond the arc.
