Norse fall to Bowling Green after hot start

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Following a reverse-sweep victory over Fresno State to open the 2026 season, Northern Kentucky University Norse volleyball took on Bowling Green on Saturday afternoon in a battle of Friday's winners. The Norse started hot with victories in sets one and two to open the match, but dropped the final three to move to 1-1 on the young season.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky was out-hit .194-.180 in the match, totaling 80 points to BGSU's 97. The Falcons outdid the Norse in every major statistical category except digs, as NKU had 84 to Bowling Green's 83. 
– Individually, Ivey Stocks led the Norse with 17.5 points, totaling 14 kills on a .462 hitting percentage with four total blocks (three solos).
– Ava Hoying posted 12 kills on 50 attacks with seven digs and a pair of service aces. 
– Sydney Bray had another double-double with ten kills and 19 digs, also recording three solo blocks. 
– Luci Heid went for ten kills and five digs, recording three total blocks. 
– Katie Noschang had seven kills with an ace and five total blocks. 
– Allison Risley tied her career-high of five service aces, also recording three kills and eight digs. 
– Abby Pickard had 51 assists, nine digs, three blocks, and an ace. 
– Daisy Cluxton led the Norse in digs with 22.
