NKU Volleyball closes non-conference play with sweep of Miami

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – After sweeping the RedHawks on Friday night, Northern Kentucky University Norse volleyball took on Miami again on Saturday, this time in Regents Hall. Marking NKU's first home contest of the 2026 campaign, the Norse recognized senior Sydney Bray for reaching the 1,000 kills mark pregame, and also unveiled the banner commemorating the team's Horizon League regular season championship in 2025. The Norse again took to the RedHawks in three sets, moving the Norse to 5-6 heading into Horizon League play.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– NKU out-hit the RedHawks .273-.133, as the Norse hit .340 in the final set. NKU recorded nine blocks to Miami's six, 47 kills to Miami's 41, and 66 digs to Miami's 60. 
– Ivey Stocks led the Norse with 14.5 points, notching 12 kills on a .292 hitting percentage with five blocks. 
– Luci Heid posted 12 kills on a .370 hitting mark, also recording a pair of blocks. 
– Sydney Bray went for 15 digs, six blocks, and seven kills with no attack errors.
– Ava Hoying had seven kills with eight digs and a block. 
– Abby Pickard notched her fifth double-double of the season, recording 34 assists and ten digs, while also notching three kills and a block. 
– Daisy Cluxton led the Norse with 19 digs, also posting seven assists. 
– Katie Noschang went for four kills, an ace, and three blocks.

– Northern Kentucky opens Horizon League play next weekend, taking on Milwaukee at home on September 25 & 26.
