Norse Volleyball opens Horizon League play with four-set victory over Milwaukee

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse volleyball opened the conference season on Friday night, taking on Milwaukee at Regents Hall. The Norse stayed hot with a four-set victory over the Panthers, Northern Kentucky's fifth victory in the last six games. Ivey Stocks led the Norse in points in another balanced team victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– The Norse out-hit Milwaukee .254-.196, despite hitting just .061 in a set three loss. NKU hit .382 with 15 kills in the opener, and .464 with 16 kills to close the match. 
– Northern Kentucky led in every major statistical category, including blocks, 12-9, aces, 7-2, and points, 71-62. 
– Ivey Stocks continued her impressive senior season with a 15-kill, five-block match, posting a .423 hitting percentage. 
– Sydney Bray totaled 14.5 points on 12 kills, three blocks, an ace, and eight digs. 
– Ava Hoying also went for 14.5 points, getting nine kills on 28 attempts with three aces, three blocks, and three digs. 
– Abby Pickard double-doubled for the sixth time this season, going for 46 assists and 11 digs. She also had three kills and an ace.

– Northern Kentucky finishes its season series with Milwaukee on Saturday, taking on the Panthers at 2 PM on Saturday.
