Molner's second-half goal lifts Norse over Huskies

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's soccer continued Horizon League play on Thursday afternoon, taking on the Horizon League's newest member, NIU. After a scoreless first half, Megan Molner's second-half goal proved to be the difference as the Norse left DeKalb with a 1-0 victory. Norse senior forward Erykah Cornett earned her 50th career point in the match, assisting Molner's goal.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
– Northern Kentucky out-shot NIU 11-8 in the match, including 4-2 on goal. The Norse had five corner kick opportunities, both in the first half, while NIU had two, both in the second half. 
– Megan Molner's 61st-minute goal marked her seventh of the 2026 season, and the assist from Cornett marked her fifth of the season. Both lead the Horizon League in their respective categories. 
– Norse keeper Autumn Bishop notched a shutout, making two saves in the first half. 
– Molner and Emma Gianino both recorded a pair of shots on goal.
