David Palmer scored 25 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Northern Kentucky University to an 86-79 victory at Maryville (Mo.) on Monday afternoon.
Corey Sorrell added 15 points for NKU, which snapped a four-game losing streak and improved to 9-8 overall, 2-6 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.
Jon Van Hoose scored 14 points off the bench for the Norse, and
Scott Bibbins added 13 points and 12 assists.
Palmer has now led NKU in scoring 12 times this season. He has topped the team in rebounding in 11 games.
Maryville dropped to 2-15 overall, 0-8 in the GLVC. The Saints are in their first year as a member of the GLVC.
NKU plays host to Kentucky Wesleyan at 7:45 p.m. Thursday night in The Bank of Kentucky Center. The Norse then entertain Bellarmine at 2 p.m. Saturday in a game that will be televised nationally by CBS College Sports.
