WTennis defeats Green Bay for third straight win

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team took a 6-1 decision from Wisconsin-Green Bay on Thursday to claim its third straight win, and its fourth in five matches.
 
Rheanna Morehart and Sydney Power each picked up their third consecutive singles wins to help the Norse to a 5-6 record on the season. Morehart dropped just a single game in defeating Lauren Miketniac at No. 3 singles, while Power took a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Olivia Headford at No. 2. 
 
Danielle Donahue at No. 4, Sierra Nellessen at No. 5 and Yasmine Xantos at No. 6 also picked up singles wins.
 
In doubles action, Hailey Shanahan and Donahue teamed to defeat Headford and Samm Pedersen, 6-1, in the top flight, while Nellessen and Morehart bested Stephanie Londre and Maria Neff, 6-4, to take the doubles point.
 
Northern Kentucky, now 5-6 on the season, opens Atlantic Sun Conference play on Friday, hosting North Florida. First serve is scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
