HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team will conclude its 2015 Atlantic Sun Conference slate this weekend when the Norse head to the Music City to take on Lipscomb. First serve from the Huston-Marsh-Griffith Tennis Center in Nashville, Tennessee, is set for 11 a.m.
 
NKU enters the weekend with a 6-13 record after dropping a 5-2 match to Xavier to close out a pair of midweek matches against local competition. Sierra Nellessen and Nicole Soutar picked up singles victories in the contest while the doubles team of Sydney Power and Yasmine Xantos improved to 3-1 on the year with a 6-3 win over Lizzie Oosterbaan and Megan Morris at No. 3.
 
A WORD ABOUT LIPSCOMB: The Lady Bisons are 11-9 on the season and 2-3 in A-Sun play after defeating USC Upstate and Kennesaw State last week in conference action. Jenny Borck and Laura Kent each have 13 singles victories to lead the team and are winners of their last three. Hannah Gamage plays in the top flight with a record of 6-13 on the year. In doubles play, Borck and Deahna Welcher teamed up to post a 12-7 record on the year.
 
WON AND IN: Thanks to NKU's 4-2 win over Kennesaw State last weekend, the Norse have clinched a spot in the A-Sun Championship next weekend as no tiebreaker scenario puts NKU lower than the No. 6 seed. With a win this weekend, NKU can finish as high as a No. 4 seed in the tournament based on other matches going on in the league.
