HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team ended the 2016 campaign on a high note, defeating Horizon League foe Green Bay, 5-2, on Senior Day at Joyce Yeager Tennis Complex.
NKU's top three singles players came away with victories on Sunday after the Norse claimed the doubles point with victories at No. 1 and 2.
Klara Skopac defeated Olivia Headford, 7-5, 6-0, at top-flight singles while Danielle Donahue clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3 singles.
Power captured a 6-4, 2-6, 1-0 win at No. 2 while Nicole Soutar rounded out NKU's victories with a 6-2, 6-4 win at the No. 5 flight.
The Norse end the season with an 8-11 overall record and 3-6 mark in Horizon League play. Skopac ends the year with a team-best 10-6 dual match record and 12-8 mark on the year.
