CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky women's tennis missed out on a bid to the Horizon League Tournament with a 4-3 loss to Wright State. The Norse close the 2017 season with a 6-12 record, going 3-6 in League play while WSU moves on to 14-13 (4-5 HL). Following the match, NKU honored its senior class of

Match Notables
- NKU started out with a doubles point win after the No. 1 and 3 tandems claimed victories. On the top court, Skopac and Margita Sunjic had a decisive 6-1 victory over Taylor Culbertson and Tori Turner, followed by a 6-4 win by Donahue and Katja Dijanezevic over Elaine Cloern and Haily Morgan.
- Skopac and Nellessen provided the final two points for the Norse, ending their careers on wins.
- Skopac had a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Linsey Verstrepen in No. 2 singles to finish the Horizon League season at 8-1 and end the year on a six-match winning streak.
- Nellessen also ended the year on a winning streak, having won her last three matches, capped off with a 6-3, 1-6, 6-4 win against Tori Turner in the No. 1 slot.
- NKU suffered straight-set defeats in the remaining singles matches. Sunjic fell to Karoline Haller in matching 6-3 sets in the No. 1 spot, while Sydney Power dropped a tight 6-4, 7-5 match to Cloern in the No. 3 match. In the No. 4 singles match, Donahue dropped a pair of 6-1 sets to Morgan, and Dijanezevic fell in straight 6-4 sets to Vanessa Madrigal in No. 5 singles.
