WILMINGTON, Ohio- Strong individual and team performances highlighted the day for the NKU men's and women's cross country teams at the Jenna Strong Invitational hosted by Wilmington College on Friday. The men's team placed third (113 points) overall with the women placing second (61 points).
 
Men's results

• Alec Sandusky was the top Norse for the men, placing third (two points) with an 8K time of 24:48.60.
• Ryan Burrows (sixth, five points, 25:08.70), Zach Birdsall (16^th, 11 points, 25:35.30), Kyle Mastin (57^th, 47 points, 26:37.70) and Tristan Tapia (58^th, 48 points, 26:37.70) rounded out the Norse scoring.
• The race featured 36 teams with 369 runners on the 8K course.
• Miami (Ohio) took first (58 points) overall.

Women's results

• Northern Kentucky had three runners place in the top 10.
• Hannah Tobler was the top-finisher for Northern Kentucky, grabbing second place (two points) with a 5K time of 18:12.80.
• Elyse Black (fourth, three points, 18:27.20), Jennah Flairty (eighth, six points, 18:35.50), Kimmy Wolfe (19^th, 16 points, 18:50.80) and Natalie Lienhart (38^th, 34 points, 19:25.10) rounded out the NKU scoring.
• The race featured 35 teams with 308 runners on the 5K trail.
• Ball State took first in the race with a point total of 48.
