HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky.- The Northern Kentucky University men's and women's cross country teams continued the 2018 season at the John McNichols Invitational on Saturday. The men's placed seventh (148 points) with the women taking eighth (208 points).
 
Men's results

• Alec Sandusky was the top finisher for the Norse, placing 19th (13 points) in a time of 25:49 on the 8K course.
• Ryan Burrows (24th, 17 points, 26:03), Kyle Mastin (34th, 24 points, 26:14), Tristan Tapia (59th, 44 points, 27:12) and Blake Rigdon (76th, 50 points, 22:47) rounded out the scoring for the Norse.
• The 8K race featured eight teams with 94 runners on the course.  

Women's results

• Hannah Tobler was the top scorer for NKU, placing 15^th (12 points) in a time of 18:38 on the 5K course.
• Jennah Flairty (32nd, 28 points, 18:59), Natalie Lienhart (72nd, 54 points, 20:48), Alayna Garver (81st, 56 points, 21:12) and Savannah Brady (84th, 58 points, 21:32) rounded out Northern Kentucky's scoring.
• The race featured nine teams with 95 runners of the 5K course.
