TAKING A LOOK AT THE STATS
The Norse are 6-3 on the season with a perfect 2-0 record in Horizon League play. NKU has won its past two matches and four of its last five. The Norse sport a 4-0 record at home and have a 2-3 record on the road. All three losses have come to quality opponents, Murray State, Cincinnati, and then-No. 22 Butler. NKU is averaging 1.56 goals per match and allows 0.89 goals per contest.
Emily Soltes leads the team and is tied for first in the Horizon League with four goals. She has 10 points on the season, which is the top mark for NKU and ranks third in the Horizon League.
Samantha Duwel has two goals and five assists on the year for nine points. Her five assists are tied for third in the Horizon League.
Emily Lohmann has four shutouts on the season, which is first in the Horizon League and tied for 45
th nationally.

HORIZON LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lohmann was named the Nike® Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, Aug. 27 for her play from Aug. 20-26. She recorded a shutout for the Norse in the 1-0 win over Xavier on Thursday evening. Lohmann faced 12 shots on the night and made five saves in the contest. She also had another good showing in a 1-0 overtime loss to Cincinnati on Sunday evening. Lohmann faced 18 shots and made six saves in that contest.

Bob Sheehan is in his 22
nd season at the helm of the NKU women's soccer team. He sports a 312-103-28 (.736) all-time record. Sheehan won his 300
th career match last season against Appalachian State on Aug. 29, 2017. His teams are 20-5-4 in Horizon League play and have a 4-1-1 record in the Horizon League Tournament.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
Wright State is one of three unbeaten teams in the Horizon League, along with NKU and Milwaukee. The Raiders were picked to finish in third place in the Horizon League preseason poll. Wright State started the season 0-5-1, but the Raiders are currently on a three-match winning streak. Most recently, Wright State has defeated Oakland and Green Bay in league play. The Raiders topped the Golden Grizzlies 1-0 on Sept. 14 and defeated the Phoenix 2-1 in overtime on Sept. 22. The team is averaging 0.78 goals per match and giving up an average of 2.11 goals per contest. Aaliyah Patten leads the team with two goals and two assists. In the net, Maddie Jewell has started all nine contests. She has made 35 saves for a 0.648 save percentage and a 2.02 goals against average.
