Molner named #HLWSOC Offensive Player of the Year, one of five Norse on All-League teams

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – As the Horizon League Women's Soccer Championship begins this Saturday, the league announced its All-League selections and award winners on Friday afternoon, with five Northern Kentucky University Norse women's soccer student-athletes earning honors. Megan Molner earned Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year and All-League First Team honors following a record-breaking season. Erykah Cornett, Emma Gianino, and Sophia Kapszukiewicz all earned All-League Second Team honors, while Caitlin Evans was an All-League Third Team selection.

Megan Molner's historic season continued, as she set Northern Kentucky's single-season goals and points records in NKU's Division I era. Molner led the Horizon League in goals, points, shots, shots on target, and game-winning goals, in both overall competition and Horizon League play. Her 15 goals were six ahead of second place in the league. She became the second Horizon League player since 2011 to score 15 or more goals in a single season. Molner ranks second in the nation in game-winning goals and seventh nationally in both goals and points. Molner becomes NKU's 18th Horizon League First Team All-League selection, and it marks the sixth time that a Norse has won Horizon League Offensive Player of the Year, and she becomes the fourth individual to earn the award (Macy Hamblin, 2015, 2016, 2017, Shawna Zaken, 2019, Kailey Ivins, 2020). Following her selection to the Scholar-Athlete Team, Molner has now accomplished one of the most decorated single seasons in Northern Kentucky women's soccer history.

Erykah Cornett, the Horizon League's leader in goals in 2025, earned All-League second team honors. This season, Cornett's logged five goals and six assists, ranking second on the Norse in both categories. The Cincinnati native crossed the 50-point plateau earlier this season and has 55 career points through four seasons with the Norse. It marked her second-straight appearance on the All-League team

Emma Gianino earned Horizon League All-League second team honors after leading the league in assists, with nine overall and six in league play. Gianino's 11 points ranked as tied for the fourth-most on the Norse, and she ranked third on the team in minutes played with 1519 on the season.

Sophia Kapszukiewicz earned All-League second team honors for the second-straight season, ranking second on the team in minutes played with 1541. A stalwart center back, Kapszukiewicz helped lead the Norse defense to allow 1.09 goals per game in league play, a mark that ranked fifth in the league. Known for her long throw-ins, she logged an assist in NKU's victory over Bellarmine this season. Kapszukiewicz played the full 90 minutes in 15 of NKU's 18 matches.

Caitlin Evans earned Horizon League All-League third team honors, starring at left back. Evans scored a goal and recorded three assists on the season, and hardly came off the pitch for the Norse, logging 1558 out of a possible 1620 minutes on the year.
