CHICAGO-Â The Northern Kentucky men's and women's cross country squads both saw strong performances against some of their strongest competition of the season at the 41
st Lakefront Invitational hosted by Loyola University Chicago. The men grabbed 16
th (412 points) place with the women taking 20
th (584 points).

Men's results
- Alec Sandusky was the top Norse for the men, placing 29th (26 points) with an 8K time of 24:57.
- Ryan Burrows (76th, 68 points, 25:33), Zach Birdsall (91st, 79 points, 25:39), Kyle Mastin (121st, 101 points, 25:53) and Tristan Tapia (206th, 137 points, 26:35) rounded out NKU's scoring.
- The race featured 26 teams with 349 runners on the challenging 8K course.
- Grand Valley State got the win with a final point total of 59 points.
Women's results
- Hannah Tobler was the top finisher for Northern Kentucky, taking 69th (62 points) with a 5K time of 18:16.
- Jennah Flairty (92nd, 76 points, 18:32), Kimmy Wolfe (184th, 140 points, 19:22), Maddie Frey (214th, 150 points, 19:34) and Natalie Lienhart (214th, 156 points, 19:45) completed the Norse scoring.
- The women's 5K featured 33 teams with 380 runners on the trail.
- Princeton took the overall win, tallying 65 points.
