HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University women's soccer team is set to travel to No. 22 Butler on Sunday. The Bulldogs were ranked in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. Butler finished second in the Big East in 2017 and is 5-1 so far this season. The Bulldogs also earned an at-large bid into the NCAA tournament a year ago. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. ET in Indianapolis, and the match will be broadcast on Facebook Live.

Butler leads the all-time series 2-0-0. In the last meeting, the Bulldogs defeated the Norse 2-1 on Sept. 17, 2014.

HORIZON LEAGUE DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lohmann was named the Nike® Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday, Aug. 27. She recorded a shutout for the Norse in the 1-0 win over Xavier on Thursday evening. Lohmann faced 12 shots on the night and made five saves in the contest. She also had another good showing in a 1-0 overtime loss to Cincinnati on Sunday evening. Lohmann faced 18 shots and made six saves. She has two shutouts on the year with a 0.73 goals against average. Lohmann also has a 0.850 save percentage.
TAKING A LOOK AT THE STATS
NKU is 4-2 on the season. Both losses occurred on the road and in overtime to quality opponents, Murray State and Cincinnati. The Norse are averaging 1.67 goals per match, and give up an average of 0.83 goals per contest. Soltes, Zaken and Mills each have two goals to lead the team.
Samantha Duwel has contributed one goal and four assists for six points.
Emily Lohmann has started all six matches in the net for NKU. She has made 29 saves for a 0.853 save percentage. Lohmann also has a 0.82 goals against average is tied for 22
nd in the nation in shutouts with three.

HEAD COACH BOB SHEEHAN
Bob Sheehan is in his 22
nd season at the helm of the NKU women's soccer team. He sports a 310-102-28 (.736) all-time record. Sheehan won his 300
th career match last season against Appalachian State on Aug. 29, 2017. His teams are 18-5-4 in Horizon League play and have a 4-1-1 record in the Horizon League Tournament.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
The Bulldogs enter the contest at 5-1 overall. Butler's only loss of the season came to No. 19 Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. Butler averages 2.33 goals per match, and only gives up 0.50 goals per contest. Paige Monaghan leads the team with two goals and four assists. Anja Savich has recorded three goals and one assist. Hannah Luedtke has started all six matches in the net for Butler. She has made six saves for a 0.857 save percentage and sports a 0.33 goals against average. Leonie Doege has also appeared in all six games. She has recorded eight saves for a 0.800 save percentage and has a 0.67 goals against average.
