HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky men's basketball has punched its ticket to the NCAA Tournament and will learn its fate on Sunday, March 17 at 6 p.m., when CBS will air the
2019 NCAA March Madness Selection Show. Northern Kentucky will hold a watch party with head coach
John Brannen and the men's basketball team in the ballroom at the James C. and Rachel M. Votruba Student Union.
Norse Nation is invited to celebrate with the Norse, which won the 2019 Horizon League Basketball Championship on the heels of sharing the regular-season title. The championship trophies will be on display and fans will have an opportunity to take pictures with them. And, the bookstore will be on hand with Horizon League championship merchandise.
Seating is limited to approximately 500 and is first-come, first-served. Doors to the ballroom open at 5 p.m., and free parking is available in the Kenton Drive Garage
Northern Kentucky will receive a small allotment of tickets for fan use from the NCAA for all tournament rounds. A ticket request form, which includes the criteria used to prioritize the requests, is available at
NKUNorse.com/MarchMadnessCentral. Fans interested in securing tickets through other means are encouraged to visit the
NCAA ticket site, or secondary vendors such as Stubhub, Vivid Seats, etc., as soon as Northern Kentucky's name and location is announced Sunday night.
The Norse sit at 26-8 overall, its most wins in the Division I era. This season's success continues to build upon the most successful first three years of active status for any transitioning program in DI history. Northern Kentucky has won two regular-season league titles and two league tournament championships, while also now appearing in two NCAA Tournaments and the NIT, in the last three seasons.
