Horizon League Announces 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Horizon League announced its full men's basketball conference schedule on Thursday, with the Norse set to open the conference season in early December. 

NKU men's basketball tips off the Horizon League campaign in Michigan, taking on Oakland on Wednesday, December 2, before playing Detroit Mercy on December 5. Northern Kentucky opens the home portion of its conference schedule on December 30, facing off against IU Indy, before taking on Cleveland State on January 3 at Truist Arena.

Northern Kentucky then heads up to Wisconsin, taking on Green Bay on January 7 and Milwaukee on January 9. The Norse then take on IU Indy in Indianapolis on January 14, before returning home for three straight at Truist Arena. NKU will face off against Wright State on January 17, the Horizon League's newest member, NIU, on January 21, and Detroit Mercy on January 23. 

NKU hits the road at the end of January, playing Purdue Fort Wayne on January 29 and Cleveland State on January 31. NKU returns home on February 4 against Youngstown State, and hits the road to take on NIU on February 7. 

The Norse return for two more at home, first on February 11 vs. Milwaukee, followed by February 13 against Green Bay. NKU's final road trip of the season sees them travel to Robert Morris on February 18 and Wright State on February 21. Northern Kentucky wraps up the Horizon League schedule with a pair of home games, first against Oakland on February 24, then against Purdue Fort Wayne on February 27 to close the regular season.
