HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Horizon League office, in conjunction with ESPN, announced today that the Northern Kentucky men's basketball game against Youngstown State on Sunday, Dec. 20, will air on ESPNU. Tipoff has been moved from its original slot back one hour to a 3 p.m. time to accommodate the broadcast.
NKU and YSU were both picked to finish in the top-three of the league standings, with the Penguins edging the Norse in points, 423-413, but Northern Kentucky picked up four first-place votes compared to three for Youngstown State.
Horizon League play begins for the two teams the weekend of Dec. 19-20. Northern Kentucky hosts Youngstown State at 2 p.m. on Saturday before Sunday's nationally-televised 3 p.m. contest. NKU will host both games at BB&T Arena.
