HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Spooky season has arrived on the campus of Northern Kentucky University, which means Fall sports are nearing championship season across the board and it is officially the start of basketball season for the men's and women's program. This week is highlighted by two volleyball home matches as the Norse push towards the top seed in the Horizon League post season tournament, the season-finale for men's soccer, Tuesday's Flood Relief men's basketball's exhibition contest between Northern Kentucky and Transylvania in downtown Lexington on Tuesday and women's basketball's opening exhibition contest on Friday.
MEN'S BASKETBALL

The Northern Kentucky University and Transylvania men's basketball programs have teamed up for a charity exhibition game to be played on Tuesday, November 1 at 7:30 PM ET at the Clive M. Beck Center in downtown Lexington, Ky. All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Appalachian Regional Healthcare Foundation Flood Relief Fund to benefit those affected by the life-altering floods throughout the Eastern Kentucky region.
The exhibition contest will also feature a homecoming for NKU student-athlete
Marques Warrick, who attended Henry Clay High School in Lexington and is the program's all-time leading scorer with 1,909 points, along with head coach
Darrin Horn, who was a standout at Tates Creek High School under Pioneer Hall of Famer Nolan Barger.
In addition to proceeds from tickets sales, the contest will also feature a winter clothing and coat drive. New winter clothing and gently used winter coats and cash donations will be collected at the game for the ARH foundation to distribute to those in need.
NKU fans and supporters will be able to purchase their tickets at the door, with prices ranging from $8 for adults and $5 for students (aged 5-17). Admission for children four and under is free of charge. Fans are also able to help the cause by donating to the
ARH Foundation Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund here.
WOMEN'S BASKETBALL

Your 2022-23 Northern Kentucky women's basketball program gets its campaign underway with an exhibition game on Friday, Nov. 4 against Indianapolis at 7 PM ET at Truist Arena.
Catch the Norse in person for the first time this year and see the experience core of returners that is looking to make its mark on the Horizon League this season.
MEN'S SOCCER
Wednesday at Oakland (2 PM ET): Live Stats
The Norse look to end the 2022 year on a high note on the road against the Golden Grizzlies of Oakland. NKU travels up north to Rochester, Mich. for the final regular season contest of the season and kick-off between these Horizon League adversaries is scheduled for 2 PM ET from Oakland Soccer Field.

Northern Kentucky continues to roll through the Horizon League after taking down both Milwaukee and Green Bay this past week on the road. This was the first time in program history the Norse swept the Wisconsin road trip, which included defeating Milwaukee for the first time inside the Klotsche Center. The Norse have now taken sole possession of second place in the Horizon League standings, trailing leader and rival Wright State by two games overall.
NKU will get a second chance at the Raiders early this week with a Tuesday, Nov. 1, evening matchup in Dayton, Ohio from the C.J. McLin Gymnasium. First serve between these two top conference programs is scheduled for 6 PM ET as well.
