HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – With the holiday season approaching, there are just two highly-anticipated games for Northern Kentucky Athletics this week as the women's basketball program plays host to cross-town rival Cincinnati on Wednesday, while the men's squad will also be in a road-battle with rising Florida Atlantic on Wednesday.

The Northern Kentucky women's basketball program is back in action this week as the Norse host cross-town rival Cincinnati in a non-conference tilt inside Truist Arena on Wednesday, December 21. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 PM ET between NKU and the Bearcats.
The Norse enter Wednesday on a three-game winning streak.
The lone contest this week for Northern Kentucky against UC will feature Hamilton County Night sponsored by Mike's Carwash. This contest can also be watched nationwide on ESPN+.
NKU enters the week, having last played on Sunday, December 11 where the Norse took down Miami (OH) at home 75-66 for the Norse's third straight victory. Northern Kentucky defeated Eastern Kentucky prior to taking down the Redhawks, 79-69, to sweep the I-75 Challenge at home.
The Norse currently rank at 12th in the nation in free throw attempts per game and 14th overall in the country in free throws made per game. Additionally,
Lindsey Duvall has been on a tear this season, leading the Horizon league in
8 total stat categories (double-doubles, field goal attempts, free throw attempts, free throws, minutes per game, points, points per game, and defensive rebounds per game).

The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program will look to continue its winning ways against a red-hot Florida Atlantic squad. The two teams will meet on Wednesday at 7 PM ET inside the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. The non-conference clash can be
watched nationwide on C-USATV or
listened to anywhere in the country on WKRC 550 AM.
The Norse enter Wednesday on a two-game winning streak and winners in five-of-their-past-six contests.
A'lahn Sumler was also just
named the Horizon League Freshman of the Week.
The Owls are 10-1 overall so far this season and a perfect 7-0 at home. Florida Atlantic is also riding a nine-game winning-streak into the non-conference tilt.
