AKRON, Ohio - The Northern Kentucky University men's and women's track and field programs were in action with a quick trip up north to the University of Akron to compete in the Al Campbell Invitational Friday night. 

Women's results

• Emily Phillips took first place in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.84 overall. 
• Jailyn Ross went on to finish fourth overall in the 60m dash as well with a season best 8.05 and Shaina Rutlege posted a PR in the race at 8.07. 
• Lynsey Shipley was the first across the finish line in the 200-meter dash with a season best time of 25.08. Shipley also finished third overall in the 400-meter dash at 56.24. Rutlege notched another PR on the day in the 200m dash, finishing 13th overall at 27.43. 
• Julia Pohl picked up another win for the Norse, this in the high jump with a mark of 5-feet 6 inches (1.68m). 
• Emma Hopkins and Tahlea Harris each finished third and fourth respectively in the 60-meter hurdles with Hopkins turning in a time of 9.82 and Harris finishing at 9.94. 
• Maddie Frey posted a PR tonight in the mile run at 5:15.05 and went on to finish 11th overall. 

Men's results

• Liam Ehrman finished 10th overall in the 200-meter dash with a time of 23.53 
• Ehrman was in action in the 400-meter dash as well, finishing 11th overall with a time of 52.86. 

Up next

• Northern Kentucky will next be in action at the Horizon League Indoor Championship beginning Saturday, Feb. 26 and will run through Sunday, Feb. 27. The conference championship will be hosted by Youngstown State in Youngstown Ohio as well.
