EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Due to wet field conditions and inclement weather set to hit the Evansville area throughout the morning and afternoon, Sunday's non-conference soccer match between Northern Kentucky and Evansville, originally scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 4 at 2 PM ET, has been canceled.
 
The game will not be made up this season.
 
On Saturday, Evansville received over three inches of rain in less than a two-hour period that added to an already wet situation at Arad McCutchan Stadium. With thunderstorms already rolling into the area by 10 AM, and the forecast calling for heavy rain and thunderstorms throughout the day, the decision was made to cancel the contest.
 
The Norse will now turn their attention to their last non-conference match of the season, a home contest against Ohio set for Thursday, Sept. 8 at 7 PM at NKU Soccer Stadium. The matchup will feature a special Pups at the Pitch promotion, so NKU fans and supporters will want to make sure they bring their furry friends to the match.
