HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky men's basketball program will hit the road for an in-state showdown against Eastern Kentucky in a non-conference clash set for Sunday, December 17 inside Baptist Health Arena.

The meeting will be the 13th between the Norse and Colonels in school history and the first since NKU knocked off EKU by a 64-61 margin inside the friendly confines of Truist Arena back on December 14 of last season.
 
Northern Kentucky is fresh off a Horizon League Championship and the program's fourth bid to the NCAA Tournament in the past seven years after the Norse posted a 22-13 record overall in 2022-23. To go with the return of NKU's big three in Marques Warrick, Sam Vinson and Trey Robinson, the Norse went out and added a plethora of talent in both the transfer portal and from the high school ranks for a squad that will be one of the favorites in the Horizon once again this upcoming season.
 
Northern Kentucky just announced its Horizon League schedule for the 2023-24 campaign, as the full slate is almost complete.
 
The group also just returned from a once-in-a-lifetime experience in their 2023 summer tour of Italy. Fans and supporters can get caught up with all aspects of the trip here, which included a perfect 2-0 record against overseas competition.
 
Eastern Kentucky is coming off a 23-14 season in 2022-23, which included a run to both the Atlantic Sun semifinal and championship game of the College Basketball Invitational. The Colonels also posted a mark of 14-2 in contests played inside the Baptist Health Arena a year ago.
