YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky men's and women's track & field teams concluded their time at the 2024 Horizon League Indoor Championships in stellar fashion at the Watson and Tressel Training Site on Sunday.
The women posted a fourth-place performance overall with 55 points, the lowest finish and most points scored at an indoor championship meet since the 2021 campaign.
Sunday's highlights featured gold medal performances by both
Julia Pohl (women's high jump) and
Meredith Goff (women's 200-meter dash), to go with countless personal bests.

Julia Pohl got the day started in a big way as she claimed the title in the women's high jump with a best leap of 1.69-meters. It all came down to her last jump as it turned into a three-way battle for the conference crown. After missing her first two tries at the heigh of 1.69-meters, Pohl exploded on her final leap to clear the mark to collect the second indoor championship of her collegiate career.

Meredith Goff put on a showing that will go down in NKU history as she collected the gold in the women's 200-meter dash. She blazed around the track with a personal best and school record time of 24.29 to take the top prize in the event. It was the first title of the sophmore's collegiate career.

Andrea Armstrong placed second overall in the women's 400-meter with a personal record of 56.54. The showing ranked fourth all-time in program history.
NOTABLES

Erin Starks took fourth in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a PR and school record of 8.61. The time was .03 seconds faster than her performance in the prelims. She also ran to a fourth-place showing in the women's 200-meter with a personal best of 24.68.

Olivia Kennedy claimed fifth overall in the women's 800-meter with a 2:15.07.
- Madison Neary also took fifth in the women's high jump with a personal-best leap of 1.61-meters.

Natnael Weldemichael posted two strong performances on Championship Sunday. He finished fifth overall in the men's 3000-meters with a personal best of 8:19.39. He also took eighth in the men's mile with a mark of 4:13.34.

Jacob Line was right behind Wedlemichael in the men's mile as he claimed eighth with a personal best of 4:14.08.
- Layla Henderson crossed the line in eighth overall in the women's 3000-meter with a personal record of 9:56.16.

Hope Erbach took 12
th in the women's mile with a PR at 5:13.43.

Colton O'Hara claimed 15
th in the men's 3000-meter with a time of 8:36.01.
