ROCHESTER, Mich. – The Northern Kentucky track & field program advanced four student-athletes to the championship round on the opening night of the 2024 Horizon League Outdoor Champions on Friday.

NOTABLES
- The Norse advanced four student-athletes in total to the championship round of the 1,500-meter race.
- On the men's side, both
Natnael Weldemichael and
Jacob Line punched their tickets to the finals. Weldemichael took sixth overall in the event at 3:59.60 while Line claimed the 12th and final spot for the championship race at 3:55.18. Weldemichael auto qualified out of his heat while Line advanced to the finals based on having one of the next best three times after auto qualifiers.
- For the women,
Sophia DeLisio and
Hope Erbach are championship bound as well as the two took ninth and 12th overall with times of 4:45.30 and 4:46.05.

Colton O'Hara claimed 10th overall in the men's 10,000-meter was a personal best of 31.10.30.
Noah Pease was right behind in 19th at 36:32.48.

Aaron Silva took 12th and
Noah Slone finished 13th in the men's javelin throw with best tosses of 33.66-meters and 32.05-meters, respectively.

Kylie Dilley also added a 17th-place showing in the women's javelin throw with a top mark of 26.70-meters.
NEXT UP
The Norse are right back to the track for day two of the Horizon League Championships on Saturday, May 4. The field portion of the schedule will get underway at noon ET while the track slate will follow at 3 PM ET.
