HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's basketball announced the signing of 2026 Lima guard Willie Foster on Wednesday.
"The addition of Willie Foster fits with our priority to still recruit high school players, especially ones that bring unique abilities," said NKU Head Coach
Darrin Horn. "Willie is a special athlete that can have an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. He is a perfect fit for our aggressive defense and uptempo, transition focused offensive style. In addition, he comes from a winning program and has played for a tremendous high school coach in Quincey Simpson."
In his junior season, Foster helped lead Lima to a 22-3 record, averaging 15.6 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists. His performance earned him First Team All-Toledo City League, second team All-District Eight, and second team All-Northwest Ohio honors. Before joining Lima Senior High in 2024, Foster played at Lima Central Catholic. Foster also represented Wildcat Select on the AAU circuit.
Lima's connections to NKU run deep, as two Norse basketball alumni, Dantez Walton & Tyler White, are both assistant coaches for the Spartans. Walton played four seasons for the Norse from 2016-20, scoring 1,008 career points and earning Horizon League Scholar-Athlete of the Year and Third Team All-League honors in his senior campaign. White, a Norse from 2012-2016, scored 1,114 points for NKU over his career. White was also a Lima Senior High School graduate.
