MUNCIE, Ind. - Northern Kentucky University Norse Women's Basketball continued its four-game road trip to open the season on Wednesday night, taking on Ball State as NKU eyed its first win of the season. After a close first couple of minutes, the Cardinals went on a massive run that proved to be insurmountable for the Norse, resulting in a 31-point loss.

- NKU tied the game at ten early on, just inside five minutes, off a
Mia Jordan layup. After that bucket, the Cardinals ran the Norse out of the gym, going on a 32-3 run over the next ten minutes of play. Ball State's lead grew to 34 in the second quarter, before the Norse got it back to 28 at the half.
- The second half was a close affair, as the Cardinals' lead ranged from 23 to 32 points.

Mya Meredith scored a season-high for any Norse player in the contest, dropping 18 points on 7-12 shooting.
