LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following a rough 15-point loss to Marshall on Thursday night, Northern Kentucky University Norse Women's Basketball hit the road again on Sunday to take on #20 Louisville. The Norse made a tremendous early effort, leading for a large portion of the first half and trailing by just three at halftime, but the game got away in the fourth as the Cardinals stormed ahead courtesy of a 20-0 run in the final period.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Northern Kentucky and Louisville looked evenly matched through the first half, as the two sides traded baskets throughout the first twenty minutes. A 9-1 run around the seven-minute mark gave NKU a 13-8 advantage, a lead they held for just over four minutes. Louisville took a 20-17 lead into the second off a late three ball.
- NKU hung around in the second, tying the Cardinals at 15 apiece in the period.
Maddie Moody hit a pair of threes to kick off the quarter, and totaled nine points in the second period.
- Down three entering the third, NKU took a quick lead off a
Mia Jordan three, but that was NKU's last lead of the game.
Kamora Morgan had a solid showing in the third, going for six points, two rebounds, and two assists. Things got away from NKU in the fourth as the Cardinals rallied with a 20-0 run, as the Norse went scoreless for almost six minutes.
- Morgan led NKU with 13 points. She also grabbed three rebounds, dished out three assists, and blocked a shot.

Mya Meredith recorded her first double-digit game of the year, going for 12 points on 5-9 shooting with a pair of threes.

Maddie Moody scored ten-plus for the first time in her young career, going for 11.

Taysha Rushton, the Norse's smallest player, was the team's leading rebounder, grabbing six. She also scored six points and dished out three assists.
