COLUMBUS, Ohio - Northern Kentucky University Norse women's basketball headed up to Ohio State on Thursday night for a battle with the 21st-ranked Buckeyes. The Norse played a great first half, leading by five at the end of the break, but were outscored by 37 in the second half as the Buckeyes put away the Norse.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Northern Kentucky came out firing in the first half, going 16-30 from the field and outrebounding the Buckeyes 23-14 as NKU led by five. NKU led by as much as 12 early in the first quarter, as the Buckeyes were struggling to hit shots from outside, going 1-12 in the first period.
- OSU flipped the script in the second half, as they outscored NKU by 37 and forced 22 Norse turnovers in the period. Overall, NKU committed 37 turnovers in the game, which marked the most committed by the Norse in a single game since joining NCAA Division I. 
- Karina Bystry was a standout for NKU, scoring 21 points on 7-8 shooting in the game. She also had four assists and three rebounds. She was the lone Norse to score in double figures in the game. 
- Taysha Rushton had eight points and six rebounds, but also committed eight turnovers. 
- Maddie Moody had six points and five rebounds in just 14 minutes.
