Norse STUNT finishes weekend with games against Missouri Baptist and Purdue

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Northern Kentucky STUNT completed the weekend with a pair of contests on Saturday.

NKU fell in the first game to Missouri Baptist, 18-0.

In the second game, the Norse took on Purdue, and came close to pulling off a comeback victory. NKU trailed 5-1 heading into the third quarter, which is jumps and tumbling, where NKU outscored Purdue 3-2 to make the score 7-4 headed into the fourth.

In the fourth quarter — team routine — which combines the first three quarters into one routine, the Norse battled and once again outscored the Boilermakers, 6-5. It was not enough to come back and win, but the Norse continue to gain momentum during the program's first-ever season of competition.

NKU next takes the mat on March 1, as the Norse will battle Mercyhurst, Central Michigan, and Ashland University at Mercyhurst Athletic Center.
