MARTIN, Tenn. – Northern Kentucky University Norse STUNT wrapped up its season at the Mid America West Conference Tournament this past weekend, as the Norse fell to UT Martin and Mercyhurst to close the 2026 campaign. Following the tournament, the conference released its annual honors, as Norse head coach Shayla Myles-Aaron and student-athlete Sophie Schoulties earned individual awards. 

In her second year at the helm of the Norse, Shayla Myles-Aaron oversaw a drastic improvement from the team's inaugural campaign, including earning a pair of wins on the season. In 2026, Northern Kentucky totaled 170 points over 20 games, scoring 8.5 per game, a remarkable improvement from NKU's 2025 totals of 27 points and 1.3 per game. The Norse earned their first win of the season in Regents Hall, defeating Purdue 24-7, and followed it up the next day with a 14-0 victory over Hiram. This season, the Norse set a new high-water mark for points in a single game (25 vs. Central Arkansas, 3/20), total points, points per game, and wins. 

Freshman flyer Sophie Schoulties was named to the Mid America West Conference Second Team, following a stellar debut campaign. The Alexandria native was a consistent player that was used in the majority of NKU's routines, playing a major in Northern Kentucky's rapid improvement in the 2026 campaign. Schoutlies totaled 39 total points, a power ranking of 5.850 and 227 rounds this season.
