Norse STUNT wins two in first-ever home competition

HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse STUNT hosted the NKU STUNT Invitational on Saturday & Sunday at Regents Hall, marking the first time the Norse had ever hosted a game. The Norse competed in four games on the weekend, splitting the tournament and going 2-2 for their first two wins of the season. 

To kick off the tournament, the Norse took on Tiffin, falling 17-27. NKU fell behind early, dropping the first quarter 2-4, but each team scored four points in both the second and third quarters. Tiffin closed in the fourth with a 15-7 final period. 

NKU picked up its first win of the season to close Saturday, beating Purdue 24-7. It marked a new all-time single high for the Norse, who beat Purdue in every period by at least three points, including 11-3 in the fourth. 

To open Sunday, the Norse dropped a game to UT Martin, 29-6, only scoring two points through the first three periods. 

The Norse closed Sunday with a big win, earning a 14-0 win over Hiram. 

NEXT UP
Northern Kentucky has a month off before traveling to UT Martin for four games.
