HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's basketball looked to bounce back from back-to-back losses on Saturday, as they took on perennial Horizon League contender Cleveland State. The Norse simply struggled to make open shots as they fell behind in the second quarter, but battled back in the third. NKU fell out of the game in the fourth quarter due to poor shooting, as the Norse went 0-8 from deep in the final period.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- Northern Kentucky struggled to shoot the ball, going 22-66 from the floor and 5-27 from three in the game. The Norse made 12 of their 16 field goal attempts in the game. Cleveland State shot 43.4% from the floor, 23.1% from three, and 17-23 from the line. 
- The Norse won the turnover battle, forcing 16 while recording just 11. NKU recorded ten steals in the game and recorded 16 points off Viking turnovers. 
- NKU lost the turnover battle, 43-33, including 33-21 on the defensive end. It marks just the second time since December that the Norse lost the turnover battle. 
- Mya Meredith led the Norse with 17 points, shooting 7-11 from the field with three rebounds, three steals, and two assists. 
- Taysha Rushton had 16 points and three rebounds. 
- Karina Byrstry had 15 points, five rebounds, and four steals, but had a rough day shooting, going 5-22 from the field and 1-10 from three. 
- Abby Wolterman had nine points and eight rebounds.
