WHAT IS STUNT?

STUNT is a women's sport derived from traditional cheerleading that focuses on athletic skill execution in a head-to-head competitive format. Two teams perform identical routines simultaneously, with judges evaluating execution and technique across multiple categories.

A STUNT game consists of four quarters:
  • Quarter 1: Partner stunts
  • Quarter 2: Pyramids and tosses
  • Quarter 3: Jumps and tumbling
  • Quarter 4: Team routine (combining elements from the first three quarters)

On Jan. 20, 2026, STUNT officially advanced to NCAA Championship Sport status, with the inaugural NCAA STUNT Championship scheduled for Spring 2027.

Northern Kentucky competes in the Mid America West Conference alongside Central Arkansas, Kentucky, Missouri State, Mercyhurst and UT Martin.
