HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – Northern Kentucky University Norse women's basketball took on Youngstown State on Thursday night, entering the game sitting in third place in the Horizon League standings while the Penguins sat in second. YSU led for over 36 minutes in the game, dismantling the Norse by 20 on their own floor.

BOX SCORE BREAKDOWN
- NKU shot 34.5% from the field, 20% from deep, and 14-17 from the free throw line, while allowing the Penguins to shoot 47.5% from the floor and 39.1% from three. The Penguins made 10 of 15 free throw attempts. 
- The Norse were outrebounded 42-27 in the game, including 31-21 on the defensive glass. NKU recorded just two second-chance points in the game.  
- NKU recorded 11 turnovers to YSU's ten. 
- The Norse couldn't get out in transition, scoring just one fast break point to YSU's 18. 
- Karina Bystry led the Norse with 18 points on 6-12 shooting. She also recorded five rebounds and dished out two assists.
