Men’s Golf finishes in tenth at Horizon League Championships

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Northern Kentucky University Norse men's golf wrapped up the 2026 spring campaign at the Horizon League Championships at Mission Inn from Saturday to Monday. The Norse struggled with a tenth-place finish, going 52-over as a team, with round scores of 301-310-305.

Leading NKU individually was Zack Beard, who was five-over for the championship and finished tied for 11th. Beard posted a 71-76-74 on the 72-par course, with his first-round 71 being tied for the seventh-best score of the first round. Beard ended the Championship with 12 birdies overall, including six in the third round. 

Next up for NKU was Michael Long, who posted a 78-78-79 three-day stretch. Long finished 41st overall at +19 and totaled four birdies. Isaac Moody finished in 43rd after a strong start with a 72 in round one, but settled at 21-over. Micah Bertram finished in 44th, finishing at +23 with round scores of 82-73-84. 

Caleb Eaglin (80-sub-71) and Brady Holmes (83 in round two) rounded out NKU's gorup of scorers.
