LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Northern Kentucky University men's tennis team played its fourth nationally ranked opponent of the season on Tuesday, falling to No. 28 Louisville by a 7-0 score in nonconference action.
A late break point was the difference in
Jody Maginley and
Nick Lang's 7-5 loss to Seb Stiefelmeyer and Chris Simich at No. 3 doubles as the Cardinals (21-5) swept the doubles point to open things up. Maginley and Simich met in singles play as well with Simich taking a 6-3, 7-5 win in a hotly contested match.
Christopher Angulo continued his strong play but came up just short on a couple of break points in a 6-4, 6-4 loss to Alex Gornet at No. 2.
