CINCINNATI – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team suffered a 7-0 setback at No. 69 Xavier on Friday evening at Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Club.
Danielle Donahue battled to a tiebreaker with Xavier's Amina Ismail at No. 3 singles after recovering from an opening set loss with a 6-1 win in the second.
At No. 2 singles,
Sydney Power took three games off Cristina Di Lorenzo in the second set after falling 6-0 to open the match. Power and her partner
Sierra Nellessen won a pair of games at the No. 3 doubles flight.
The Norse return to action on Saturday when they travel to take on Morehead State for a 3:30 p.m. match.
