DAYTON, Ohio – The Northern Kentucky University women's tennis team earned a 4-3 victory over Dayton on Friday evening as
Sydney Power won her third singles match in the last four contests and also added a doubles victory.
Power won 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 2 singles flight, behind
Klara Skopac's 7-6 (6), 2-6, 6-3 win at top-flight singles.
Danielle Donahue defeated Dayton's Alex Townsend while
Nicole Soutar cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 6 singles over Kristina Benjamin.
Power paired up with
Sierra Nellessen as the duo captured a 6-1 win at No. 3 doubles, but Dayton ultimately came away with the doubles point in the match.
The Norse return to action for a pair of Horizon League matches beginning on Friday, March 25 at Youngstown State. NKU then takes on Cleveland State on Saturday, March
26.
