IT'S ON US: Wednesday's men's and women's soccer doubleheader is being played in conjunction with the "It's On Us" campaign at NKU. The campaign is taking place all week and aims to educate students and prevent sexual assault on college campuses. In 2015, President Obama and Vice President Biden introduced "It's On Us" as a nationwide campaign with the intention of unifying universities to end sexual violence. In just one year, more than 220,000 people have pledged to show support.

LAST TIME OUT: NKU last competed on Saturday when it fell to League-leading Milwaukee, 1-0, on a late goal from the Panthers. Brooke Schocker took over in goal and picked up five saves in 65 minutes of play. The teams waged a back-and-forth battle with Milwaukee scoring in the 75th minute directly off a corner kick after the ball curved just over the goal line.

SCOUTING OAKLAND: The Golden Grizzlies currently sit sixth in the Horizon League standings with a 4-6-1 overall record including a 1-1-0 mark in League play. Oakland defeated Youngstown State, 3-0, and is coming off a 3-2 overtime loss to Cleveland State last weekend.

Oakland has been narrowly out-scored by its opponents, 15-13, across 11 games this season. As a team, the Golden Grizzlies rank third in the Horizon League in points with 39. Sydnye Gagner is 31st in the NCAA in total goals with seven and has a team-high 15 points, tied for second in the HL. Alice Palmer is the League-leader in shot attempts with 36, averaging 3.27 per game, while Vlad Gurovski has a team-high four assists.

The squad was picked to finish first in the League in the preseason poll after defeating Wright State, 1-0, to claim the 2015 HL Championship title last year. Oakland suffered a 5-0 loss to No. 3 seed Notre Dame in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

SERIES HISTORY: The Norse are in search of their first program victory over the Golden Grizzlies. The squads last met when Oakland halted NKU's 2015 Horizon League Tournament run with a 4-1 penalty kick victory in the semifinal round following a scoreless draw.

The Norse fell at Oakland, 1-0, on Oct. 21 last year in one of only two League losses in the regular season. The Golden Grizzlies' Alice Palmer netted the game-winner in the 72nd minute.

Oakland leads the all-time series, 3-0-1.

STREAK SNAPPED: Milwaukee's game-winner last weekend snapped the Norse defense's streak of 356:35-straight minutes without allowing a goal. The streak spanned four games as all five of NKU's wins have come in shutout fashion.

BETWEEN THE POSTS: Only three opponents this season have managed more than a single goal against the Norse, who boast a 0.90 goals-against average. Primary goalkeeper Emily Lohmann owns a 0.90 individual goals-against average and is ranked second overall in the Horizon League. Lohmann, a sophomore, is also third in save percentage at .814 after starting all 10 matches.
NKU has depth at the goalkeeper position. Senior Brooke Schocker has totaled 93:55 minutes in goal, including 64:39 minutes against Milwaukee. The Schaumburg, Illinois native has already broken into the NKU career record book in saves, saves per game, save percentage, total wins, goals-against average and shutouts.

AMONG LEAGUE LEADERS: Offensively, NKU is fourth in the Horizon League in goals per game, scoring an average of 1.20 per match. Jessica Frey and Macy Hamblin are third and fourth, respectively, in shot attempts. Hamblin has fired 27 shots across seven games for a League-best 3.86 shots per game clip. The offensive duo also ranks in the top-10 in points, points per game and goals per game. Frey has a team-high four goals and nine total points. Sami Rutowski is NKU's assist leader with four, which is tied for the third-most in the Horizon League.

UP NEXT: The Norse head north for a Saturday, Oct. 1 matchup at League foe Cleveland State. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
